PAOP applies only to the territory of the region of Prague. Due to classification of EU regions for the purposes of structural policy according to the amount of GDP produced by the region, Prague may not use finances intended for the rest of the CR from the EU funds and, on the other hand, regions other than the region of Prague may not benefit from finances reserved by the EU for the capital city.
PAOP is one of two operational programmes for Prague, which draws finances from the EU funds within the Regional Competitiveness and Employment objective. From the EU funds, the amount of EUR 108.39 million has been reserved for PAOP, which amounts to approx. 0.41 % of all finances reserved for the Czech Republic from the EU funds. In addition, the programme financing is to be increased from the national public resources by another EUR 19.13 million.
